1. Purpose and Scope
The Legends of the Gulf T20 ("LOG-T20") is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and fair play in all aspects of the league's operations. This Anti-Corruption Policy ("Policy") applies to all players, team officials, franchise owners, match officials, league staff, and any other individuals or entities associated with the LOG-T20 league (collectively, "Participants").
This Policy is established in accordance with the International Cricket Council (ICC) Anti-Corruption Code and the regulations of the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF). It is designed to prevent corruption, match-fixing, spot-fixing, and any other conduct that undermines the integrity of the sport.
2. Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct is strictly prohibited under this Policy:
- Match-Fixing: Fixing or contriving, or attempting to fix or contrive, the result, progress, conduct, or any other aspect of any match or event.
- Spot-Fixing: Fixing or contriving, or attempting to fix or contrive, any particular occurrence within a match (e.g., the timing or outcome of a specific delivery, over, or session).
- Insider Information: Disclosing inside information to any person where the Participant knew or should have known that such disclosure might lead to improper use of the information.
- Corrupt Payments: Soliciting, accepting, offering, or agreeing to accept any bribe, gift, payment, or other benefit (financial or otherwise) in connection with any effort to influence the outcome or any aspect of a match.
- Betting: Placing, accepting, or laying any bet on the result, progress, conduct, or any other aspect of any match or event in which the Participant is involved or has inside information.
- Failure to Report: Failing to disclose to the Anti-Corruption Officer any approach or invitation received to engage in corrupt conduct.
- Obstruction: Obstructing, delaying, or refusing to cooperate with any investigation carried out under this Policy.
3. Reporting Obligations
All Participants have an obligation to report any knowledge or reasonable suspicion of corrupt conduct immediately to the LOG-T20 Anti-Corruption Officer. Reports can be made confidentially and will be treated with the utmost discretion. Failure to report is itself a violation of this Policy.
Reports can be submitted via email to [email protected] with the subject line "Anti-Corruption Report — Confidential."
4. Anti-Corruption Officer
The LOG-T20 shall appoint an Anti-Corruption Officer ("ACO") responsible for overseeing the implementation and enforcement of this Policy. The ACO shall have the authority to investigate alleged violations, conduct interviews, request documentation, and recommend sanctions.
5. Education and Awareness
All Participants are required to attend mandatory anti-corruption education sessions organized by the LOG-T20 prior to the commencement of each season. These sessions will cover the provisions of this Policy, the ICC Anti-Corruption Code, and the consequences of violations.
6. Investigations
The ACO may initiate an investigation upon receiving a report or upon reasonable suspicion of a violation. Investigations will be conducted fairly and impartially. Participants are required to cooperate fully with any investigation, including providing access to devices, records, and communications as reasonably requested.
7. Sanctions
Violations of this Policy may result in one or more of the following sanctions:
- Suspension from participation in LOG-T20 matches and events
- Lifetime ban from the LOG-T20 league
- Financial penalties and forfeiture of prize money
- Referral to law enforcement authorities for criminal prosecution
- Reporting to the ICC and SACF for further disciplinary action
- Revocation of franchise ownership rights
8. Whistleblower Protection
The LOG-T20 is committed to protecting individuals who report suspected corruption in good faith. No Participant shall be subject to retaliation, discrimination, or adverse action for making a report under this Policy. Any attempt to retaliate against a whistleblower will itself constitute a violation of this Policy.
9. Amendments
The LOG-T20 reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time. All Participants will be notified of any material changes and will be required to acknowledge and comply with the updated Policy.
